When Austrian designer Robert La Roche released his first eyewear collection in 1973, no one could have predicted the genius creations that would follow. His strength was a sharp design language all his own, executed with precise artisanship. By the time the80s rolled around, he had established himself as an icon of the new wave era. In the 90s, all eyes were on him – from Hollywood to Andy Warhol’s Factory, everyone wanted to see the world through a pair of his glasses.

After more than two decades of unrivaled success, he decided to retire, but his legacy lives on. A talented team of passionate individuals took over La Roche’s eponymous eyewear brand to pick up where the designer left off.  As we head into the future, we can’t help but reminisce about the golden era of Robert La Roche.
